Advocacy appeals Basmanny market director`s arrest
The attorney of Moscow Basmanny market director has appealed the arrest of her client, has informed Alexandra Alitovskaya, who represents Mark Mishiyev?s interests.
"I have filed an appeal to Moscow city court, where I ask the higher echelon to cancel the decision of the district court as illegal and unfounded", she said.
Mishiyev is accused on part 3 of article 109, the Russian Federation Criminal Code ("involuntary manslaughter of two and more people"). This article provides punishment in the form of imprisonment for the period of time up to 5 years.
Basmanny market collapse took place on February 23. 66 people died as a result of this emergency.
